THE TRANSDERMAL ADMINISTRATION OF SUBSTANCES VIA HIGH-VOLTAGE SHORT-PULSE ELECTROPORATION HAS UNDERGONE TREMENDOUS DEVELOPMENT OVER THIS LAST DECADE.

DESCRIPTION

Aimed at cosmetic medicine professionals. It produces the same effects as traditional mesotheraphy, without needles, without pain and without contraindications.

The skin acts as a natural barrier against the entry of foreign substances into the organism. In order for a substance applied to the skin to be absorbed transepidermally, it must pass the corneous stratum. This is what is achieved with the MesoDerm transdermal administration equipment.

R.F.M.: This is a system, developed and patented by IT Pharma Laboratories, of Electroporation by Frequency Modulation Radio. (R.F.M.). It is an alternative to traditional mesotherapy, without needles, without pain and extremely efficient and reliable, as it enables us to introduce the desired medication to the depth required by each treatment. It does not have any secondary effects, either, and it can be used in different therapies: pain, obesity, flaccidity, cellulite…

HOW DOES R.F.M. WORK?

Some controlled and adjustable electromagnetic impulses are emitted by means of a high frequency and low intensity mechanism. These act by permeabilising the cellular membrane and easily and quickly permitting the introduction of active principles directly to the cell (from 0.25 to 1.50 grams per minute), thus speeding up the duration of the patient's treatment.

HOW DOES MESODERM ACT OVER THE CELLS?

It causes a state of biological stress, altering the membrane potential, causing an electroporation of the bilayer lipids, giving rise to the formation of pores and openings in the protein channels. This electroporation phenomenon is achieved at the time of the electromagnetic wave impulse and it is reversible, because this is by pulses and not maintained, with which the cell returns to its state of normality. The cell recuperates its integrity when the membrane potential is normalised due to a so-called "on-off" mechanism.

The electroporation allows taking advantage of the following paths for introducing or transmission of substances from the epidermis, as they are:

  • Trans-cellular Way: Enhancing the cellular membranes permeability.
  • Interstitial Way: Through the lipids of the intercellular space.

With the MesoSin electroporation system substances pass through the skin:

  • Trans-Epidermal way: the skin as it overcomes the barrier of the corneous stratum.
  • Pilosebaceous Way: The absorption takes place through the epithelial cells of the sebaceous glands. This is used by hydropidic and lipidic products.
  • Sudoriparous Way: At cell level of the sudoriparous gland. Ionic products use this.

ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER TECHNIQUES OR DEVICES
  • There is no electric contact with the patient. There is no risk of chemical burns, muscular fasciculations, pain or inflammation.
  • Non invasive method.
  • There is no return electrode. (ground plaque)
  • It is not contraindicated in prosthesis.
  • There is no molecular ionization of the transported substances.
  • It is suitable for ionic, non ionic and lipidc substances.
  • The transcutaneous penetration speed of hydrolipid substances is approximately 1gr per 60 seconds.
  • It does not require any conductor gel.
  • There are no side effects.
  • Friendly use, portable and practical.
  • It introduces substances of any molecular weight.
